Agile Transformation of the SDLC

Moving a waterfall-bound delivery organization to a hybrid Agile model built for CI/CD.

The Challenge

The software development lifecycle needed a more flexible structure to support CI/CD delivery. The existing infrastructure was built around a waterfall methodology, which could not keep pace with the company’s ad-hoc business demands.

The Approach

Researched Agile development practices in depth and earned the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) credential from Scrum Alliance, then used that foundation to design an Agile operating model fitted to the organization.

The Result

Implemented a hybrid Agile structure across two development silos, each with a Software Development Manager, PM, BA, developers, and QA. Both were supported by a dedicated architecture silo of senior project management, software architects, TSAs, and data analysts.

Automated Employee Lifecycle Notifications

Replacing manual HR notifications with one automated channel from a third-party system to the company ecosystem.

The Challenge

The company needed a streamlined way to notify the business of new employees, employee changes, and terminations originating in a third-party database. The process relied on manual handling and manual notifications.

The Approach

Architected an end-to-end ETL and automation framework that ingested employee data from a third-party HR system, identified and processed data changes, transformed and formatted the data for native system databases, and triggered automated downstream workflows. Integrated AI agents and workflow automation to deliver employee information to division leadership in each group’s required format, including database updates, email communications, CSV files, Microsoft Lists, and other business-specific outputs.

The Result

Consolidated the flow of employee data to multiple datastores through a single unified channel, eliminating manual processing and manual notifications.

AI-Powered Division Newsletter Generator

Turning a quarter’s worth of stored updates into a finished, magazine-style newsletter with the press of a button.

The Challenge

The division needed a quarterly newsletter, but assembling each edition by hand was time-consuming. Stories, details, and images had to be collected, written up, and laid out manually every quarter.

The Approach

Designed and built an end-to-end solution: a Microsoft List that stores each story by newsletter edition and quarter, a Power Automate flow that gathers the edition’s content, and an AI agent that turns it into a complete, magazine-style newsletter.

The Result

Dramatically reduced the time it takes to produce each edition. Contributors simply log a headline, details, and an image source throughout the quarter; at publication time, one button generates the entire newsletter.
